In 2016, James returned to Dublin after 16 years in Sydney.

He published several articles in the Irish Times about his experience, appeared on RTE, TodayFM and Newstalk and participated in Irish Government forums helping emigrants return to Ireland.

He is now writing a book A New Dawn in Ireland, about returning home and its impacts.

James is an entrepreneur, coach and design thinker. He founded TheWellbeingGym.com to help people achieve personal wellbeing and peak performance. The Wellbeing Gym provides online, offline and blended life design, self-leadership and performance micro-learning programmes to individuals and businesses.

An Irish and Australian citizen, James blends 20+ years of international experience in software and banking, managing large teams in high pressure environments.

He is the creator of the MAP model for life design, a core element of The Wellbeing Gym’s value proposition. He holds an ICF-accredited Diploma in Personal and Business Coaching. James combines these skills to help people to take life-changing action.

He has a keen interest in self-development. He uses mental, physical and emotionally healthy practises to enable wellbeing, creativity, sustained performance improvements and better decision-making.

Mostly though, James is a fellow emigrant navigating through his new life and wanting to share the journey with fellow returnees.
